Anthony Segarra grew up with a unique worldview thanks to being raised by hearing-impaired parents. He was inspired to express himself using his own style during his collegiate studies at Fordham University, and over the years his imagination and creativity birthed an adventuresome fantasy tale that he enthusiastically recited to his daughter, nieces, and nephews. After nearly two decades of balancing work, family, and a budding writing career, his masterpiece was complete—he just had to publish it.

Exploring Traditional and Self-Publishing

With an original goal of traditional publishing, Segarra contacted multiple companies and editors about making his publication dreams come true. However, the money-focused industry was discouraging to the author, who just wanted to share his stories with the world. Self-publishing allowed him to celebrate his passion for storytelling and maintain control over his writings. He formed his own publishing company and enlisted the aid of self-publishing experts, and his manuscript soon became a published novel.
